Welcome to the Bullock Texas State History Museum Newsroom

The Bullock Texas State History Museum is the state's official history museum, serving more than nine millions visitors since it opened in 2001. Through three floors of Texas history galleries, visitors can explore everything from the earliest inhabitants, European colonization and the Texas Revolution to civil rights, space exploration, and pop culture. Two special exhibition galleries host a variety of relevant and engaging exhibitions featuring artifacts from all over the world, immersive multimedia installations, and hands-on experiences.

Press Visits and Information

​​The Bullock Museum does not issue press passes. All members of the media must be approved in advance of their visit by the Bullock Museum’s Marketing Department and escorted by a Bullock staff member while in the building. To request more information, high-resolution images, or schedule a visit and/or interview, please submit a media request.
