Home school families will receive the discounted school group rates for exhibits, IMAX® Theatre, and Texas Spirit Theater admissions on this day. The Museum Store will also offer a 10% discount to home school visitors.

Explore the Story Learning Stations will be scheduled from 10 am - 3 pm. Education volunteers will lead students in hands-on activities, demonstrations, and much more!

Enjoy Connect and Create activities related to the films showing in the IMAX Theatre and pick up complimentary educator materials at the Resource Table.

Don’t miss Texas: The Big Picture, Wildfire, Sea Monsters 3D: A Prehistoric Adventure, and Dolphins and Whales 3D in the IMAX® Theatre, or The Star of Destiny in the Texas Spirit Theater.

LUNCH OPTIONS

• Groups should make advance reservations at The Story of Texas Cafe by calling (512) 320-0403.
• Visitors can pick up and complete a Quick Lunch Form from Ticketing unpon arrival and pick up their orders at the Museum Cafe later that day.
• Visitors bringing their own lunches/snacks are invited to use the covered picnic area across from the Museum at the Sam Houston Building. Groups may not eat on the Museum Plaza, in the Rotunda, or bring food into the Museum Cafe.

Download the First Floor Exploration Cards and Second Floor Exploration Guide from the web before you arrive at the Museum. These guides will assist you in guiding student explorations in the Exhibits. These guides are also available for checkout at the Visitor Information Desk.
