Summer 2007
Star Party to Canyon of the Eagles Lodge and Observatory

In June 2007, trip participants enjoyed a relaxing sunset dinner cruise on Lake Buchanan then spent the evening gazing at the skies at a Star Party hosted by the Austin Astronomical Society.

Fall 2006
Goliad

On November 18, Members and Friends of the Museum visited one of the most historic and sacred sites in Texas history - the Presidio La Bahia, where 342 men were executed by the Mexican Army during the Texas Revolution. The day also included a stop at Goliad State Park and tour of Mission Espiritu de Zuniga.

Trip participants spent the day exploring the history and science of space travel.

On March 19, Members and friends of the Museum walked in the footsteps of Texas heroes at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park - including Independence Hall, where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed, the Star of the Republic Museum, Barrington Living History Farm, the home of Anson Jones, Texas' last president, and the original site of Baylor University.

Light O' the Moon

Texans of all ages enjoyed the majesty and romance of Texas under the stars while floating down the Colorado River.

Built by 19th century pioneers, the churches in the  Schulenburg area provided members with glimpses of the  intricate craftsmanship and beauty typical of the area  settlers' European heritage.
