Santa Anna's field glass measures 39" in length and is decorated with brass fittings.
Every good general knows that you don't march blindly into battle.
To scout enemy positions in the battlefield, a general often used a field glass. Similar to a telescope, Santa Anna's field glass measures 39" in length and is decorated with brass fittings. This field glass was recovered by Texas troops at the San Jacinto battlefield after their victory in 1836.
