Chisos
The view has likely not changed at all in the last millennia, which adds to it's timelessness. The original image is 26,000 pixels wide. This panorama was made by stitching more than a half dozen images taken with a 200mm lens into one seamless creation

Our bicycling group stopped along the road into Big Bend for lunch. The bleak landscape in the background with sun-burned branches in the foreground epitomized the desert. I later used a photo editor to emphasize stark contrast.

An interesting hike to 'The Window' pouroff, as it is called. The spot were all water from the Basin drains .Not that hard, a 3 mile one-way. It can get hot because most of the time, you are in a canyon area were air does not flow, so always carry plenty

Out by the Fossil Bones Exhibit, this is an interesting area to hike, pure desert here, no trees or water in sight .

There's something about trees I love. it could be textures. Tthe rough bark of the tree contrasts with the smaller brush underneath and the almost painfully blue smoothness of the sky. The twisting branches could be writhing.
