Above the Clouds in Green Gulch
I took this one morning as I noticed some fog creeping over Panther Junction from my campsite in the Basin. I had to hike up a steep hill to the north of the Lost Mine Trailhead and then do some more scrambling to the east to get this view.
EnlargeSummer Storm over the Chisos
I took this photo in June 2015 capturing the thunderstorm over the Chisos Mountains.
EnlargeRed Leaves and Window on a Frosty Morning
This was on a January morning after a light snowfall the previous night. I found this scene exploring off the Laguna Meadow Trail, climbing a little ways to the NW.
EnlargeLight Snow in Basin
I found this scene on an exploration off of the Laguna Meadow Trail one cold January morning. It was January and a dusting of snow fell in the Basin. These trees were found on a walk that morning.
EnlargeHoodoo and Meteor
This is taken by moonlight at the hoodoos just before dawn in January 2016. A meteor was captured as I shot the rock formation.
EnlargeWindows
The weather cleared just enough to have a nice view through the window out to what lay beyond and where the journey along the trail would lead.
EnlargeA View from Rio Grande Village
I helped with a shuttle run for the bicyclists who participated in the Chihuahuan Desert Bike Run. Here's a view from Rio Grande Village where the ride ended.
EnlargeJuniper Canyon
Taken in October 2015 along the Boot Canyon/Pinnacle Trail near Juniper Canyon.
