Chisos from Dodson Trail
Alternate shot of a view of the high Chisos from Dodson Trail. We had snow overnight and it had all melted by the afternoon with a dusting left on the mountains. We later learned the road into the basin was closed this day due to snow.
EnlargeSunrise
Got up early to take shots of the sun rising over Sierra Del Carmen. It was quiet, cool, and wonderful.
EnlargeCattail Falls After the Rain
As I hiked across the desert to this hidden canyon, I saw the clouds open up over the Chisos. When I arrived, the water fell so hard it felt like marbles striking my skin.
EnlargeLife is Hard in the Desert
Was exploring on the west side of Dog Canyon and came across this Javalina. There was a large cliff nearby...Did he fall off? Life is hard in the desert.
