Experience the Bullock Museum – the biggest classroom in Texas – through special tours, activities, and film screenings. Designed for teachers of all grade levels and subjects, this FREE event will introduce new film-related curriculum guides and activities, professional development opportunities, and unique classroom resources. Plus, enjoy prize drawings, refreshments, the company of fellow teachers, and receive a certificate of participation, SBEC approved.
Join us for a free event exclusively for teachers, and enjoy an evening at the movies! Preview two IMAX films that will be featured at the Museum this spring. Be some of the first to experience the Museum’s new state-of-the-art digital projector, upgraded audio, and a new screen in the IMAX Theatre.
- 5:30 p.m. Humpback Whales takes students on an extraordinary journey into the hidden underwater world of humpback whales and ocean science, and brings to life science concepts like food webs, migration, and human interactions with ecosystems. Runtime: 40 min
- 7:00 p.m. Living in the Age of Airplanes “What once was a migration, is now a vacation.” Living in the Age of Airplanes tells the story of how the airplane has changed the world. Using stunning footage from 18 countries across all 7 continents, the film explores the countless ways aviation affects our lives, and demonstrates connections to geography, history, math, and science.
Collect classroom resources and see demonstrations of classroom activities. Plus, engage in a discussion with the Museum’s Director of Theaters about how best to utilize the Museum’s films with your students.
