Texas students reveal their team-built robots in head-to-head competition.
Capitol BEST Robotics hosts its annual Practice Day at the Bullock Museum from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Saturday, November 6th. Included with the price of exhibition admission, Museum visitors are invited to watch 21 middle school and high school teams showcase their team-built robots on the Demo Daze game field. This year's "Demolition" theme tasked teams with engineering and building robots designed to demolish a building and recover recyclable and reusable materials.
Capitol BEST is a skills development program for middle schools and high schools. The program consists of emulating an actual product development over an 8-week period, including design and manufacturing of a robot from raw materials, engineering notebook, engineering drawings, autonomous programming, marketing presentation, conference-like exhibition, community relations, video and website design, and ending with a head-to-head competition.
