Narrated by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.

- Our closest galactic neighbor is the Andromeda Galaxy. At 2.5 million light years away, it's visible in the night sky with the naked eye.
- Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe has been expanding since its inception with the Big Bang.
- The mysterious dark matter accounts for at least 95% of the universe's mass.
- The film's narrator, Neil deGrasse Tyson, first became interested in astronomy after a visit to a planetarium when he was nine years old.
