Event Details
Enjoy FREE exhibition admission all day during H-E-B Free First Sundays, held the first Sunday of every month. Activities are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Explore the Story of Texas through three floors of exhibitions that showcase and tell the history of artifacts from around the state.
Activities:
- 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Experience breakdance performances by Break Austin in the grand lobby
- Explore the Carros y Cultura: Lowriding Legacies in Texas special exhibition
- Make a hopping paper lowrider craft
- Learn about airbrushing and create your own airbrushed work of art with air marker sprayers
- See miniature remote controlled lowrider cars in action
- Create a lowrider art project with Mexic-Arte Museum
- Discover the science of hydraulics through a hands-on experiment
- Learn the amazing world of coding through fun, interactive robots with Latinitas (ages 9–14)
- Join our friends at Girlstart for interactive STEM demos and hands-on activities for kids of all ages
