Event Details
Do you want recommendations on how to light your new exhibit? How about a refresher on best practices in museum lighting in general? Are you interested in transitioning to LED?
This one-day workshop will be led by Luna Lux, a premiere production, lighting, AV design, and equipment rental company, and will consist of in-classroom instruction, evaluation, and practice. Luna Lux's objective is to create stunning and fitting designs for any size venue. They provide lighting and AV design services to museums worldwide and their clients include the Smithsonian and the National Park Service.
Attendees will learn how appropriate lighting can both protect objects and best display them to visitors, when to use spots versus floods and how to achieve them, how to screen lighting back to protect the valuable artifacts in your care, and how lighting helps to tell the story in a gallery and bring visitors along.
Workshop registration is $35.
