After two decades as one of the most beloved and enduring musicals on the stage, Wicked makes its long-awaited journey to a screen the size of Texas as a spectacular, generation-defining cinematic event this holiday season.
John M. Chu (director of In the Heights) takes on Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz, starring Emmy-, Grammy-, and Tony-winning powerhouse Cynthia Erivo (Harriet, Broadway’s The Color Purple) as Elphaba, a young woman, misunderstood because of her unusual green skin, who has yet to discover her true power. Opposite Elphaba is Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and global superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman, gilded by privilege and ambition, who has yet to discover her true heart. After an encounter with the Wizard of Oz, the lives of the two unlikely friends begin to take very different paths.

The Bullock Museum IMAX Theatre is the first and only dual Laser IMAX theater in Texas and features enhanced 12-channel immersive audio and luxury seating. Enjoy concessions such as specialty popcorn, assorted candies, and beverages, including sodas and bottled water.
The IMAX Theatre is now offering beer, wine, and spirits during feature film screenings. Alcohol sales are available from one hour before the first feature film until 30 minutes after the start of the last feature film.
