Rodeo Austin's Junior Livestock Show Youth Auction
Programs
March 25, 2016
The Bullock Museum is pleased once again to host Rodeo Austin's Junior Livestock Show Youth Auction. Rodeo Austin's Junior Livestock Show is the 8th largest show in the nation, with thousands of entries in a variety of categories each year. The Youth Auction provides awards to the top 400 exhibitors in the Junior Livestock Show and Youth Western Art Show. In 2014, more than $1.2 million was raised and awarded to students across the state of Texas.
On Rodeo Day, you'll be greeted by the exciting sounds of an auctioneer's call as students take the stage to sell their livestock to the highest bidder. Bidders and participants will occupy the majority of the Museum's lobby, but visitors are welcome to watch the action from the upper floors. This once-a-year event is a great opportunity to see some of Texas's youngest agricultural stars.
Please note: The Museum's parking garage often fills up on Rodeo Day. If you arrive and the garage is full, parking garages on the University of Texas at Austin campus, or nearby at the Texas State Capitol, are within walking distance.
