Seventeen-year-old Suzume joins a mysterious young man on an adventure to save Japan from disaster.
Suzume, a teen from a quiet town, meets a young man on a journey looking for doors. She is drawn to the invisible power of a mysterious door in the mountains, and soon they begin opening all over Japan. The doors must be closed to shut out the calamity that lies on the other side.
