When Modern Meant Classical: The Greek Revival in 19th Century Architecture and Decorative Arts

The Bullock Museum is pleased to host a symposium marking the 200^th anniversary of Abner Cook’s birth. Cook, a noted 19^th century architect, designed many of Austin’s noteworthy historic structures, including the Neill-Cochran House and the Texas Governor’s Mansion. When Modern Meant Classical is organized jointly by the Bullock Texas State History Museum, the Friends of the Governor’s Mansion, the Friends of the Neill-Cochran House Museum, and the Texas State Preservation Board.

Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors/military/students (with valid ID) and $9 for youths age 17 and under.
