Miss Ima's Quilts
An Enduring Folk Art Tradition
Miss Ima Hogg was a visionary collector, preservationist, and philanthropist who just also happened to be passionate about quilts.
To highlight her vision as a collector, this special exhibition showcased an extraordinary selection of 25 quilts from Miss Ima's collection. The quilts dated from the late 1700s to the early 1900s and represented one of the most popular and enduring folk art traditions in America. Brought together as an exhibition for the first time, each quilt testified to Miss Ima’s keen eye for excellence and her passion for collecting.
Sponsorship was provided by the Albert and Ethel Herzstein Hall Fund.
Support for the Bullock Museum's exhibitions and education programs provided by the Texas State History Museum Foundation.
