Join us for a private, Member-exclusive exhibit tour of A Better Life for Their Children: Julius Rosenwald, Booker T. Washington, and the 4,978 Schools that Changed America led by the exhibit’s photographer, Andrew Feiler!

Event Details

Explore our new exhibition at this Member-only, after-hours event. Learn how Rosenwald schools expanded education and shaped a generation of Black leaders who helped give rise to the Civil Rights Movement. Discover moving photographs and stories by Andrew Feiler and artifacts that explore the partnerships that created the schools, their legacy, and the people fighting to save them.

Enjoy complimentary desserts and refreshments throughout the evening, and attend a special Q&A and book signing of A Better Life for Their Children: Julius Rosenwald, Booker T. Washington, and the 4,978 Schools that Changed America with Andrew Feiler. The book will be available for purchase at the Museum Store. This is a limited-capacity event open to Hacienda level Members and above. Please RSVP in advance to attend.
