Imagine stepping 50 years into the future and finding smart cities designed to be totally sustainable. Renewable energy is our primary power source, space-based solar power provides solar energy 24 hours a day, everything is recycled, and you travel in individualized pods that run on little or no energy. Follow a team of middle schoolers participating in the annual Future Cities Competition, an international contest that challenges students to engineer their own city to face the challenges the future might bring. Along the way, meet the engineers already working to create the technologies that will power a sustainable world.
Bring the whole family and enjoy complimentary movie snacks, fun photo opportunities, and a chance to see a beautifully crafted film on a screen the size of Texas!
Refreshments, a cash bar, and theatre seating will be open at 5:30 p.m. and the documentary film will begin at 6:15 p.m. The film runtime is 45 minutes.
This is a limited capacity event in the IMAX® Theatre open to Museum Members at all levels and Member guests only. Please RSVP in advance to attend.

The Bullock Museum IMAX Theatre is the first and only Laser IMAX theater in Texas and features enhanced 12-channel immersive audio and luxury seating. Enjoy concessions such as specialty popcorn, assorted candies, and beverages, including sodas and bottled water.
The IMAX Theatre offers beer, wine, and spirits during feature film screenings. Alcohol sales are available from one hour before the first feature film until 30 minutes after the start of the last feature film.
Learn about ticket prices, refund policies, and parking. Visitors age fifteen and younger must be accompanied in the Museum and theaters by someone age sixteen or older.
IMAX Theatre seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
