Event Details

Enjoy FREE exhibition admission all day during H-E-B Free First Sundays, held the first Sunday of every month. Families can explore the Story of Texas through three floors of exhibitions that showcase artifacts from around the state. Dive into the heart of Texas with Girlstart. From 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. explore the connections between history and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through interactive demos and hands-on activities for kids of all ages. No registration required. 

Girlstart’s activities include:

  • Investigate how creatures soar as you design an amazing bird glider
  • Reveal secret messages and explore the Mystery and Benevolence exhibition
  • Mix up a bouncy ball and learn about the science of polymers and plastics
  • Play a tiny handmade piano as you experience acoustics and explore the ACL Theater installation
