Get creative at the Bullock this summer with special classes led by local artists. Explore with art materials and media to help you process feelings and strengthen your mental health.
Express yourself by creating mixed media mandalas in this reflective and meditative class designed to promote emotional well-being. This process-based class encourages creative autonomy and provides an outlet for expressing big emotions. Intended for children ages 9-12. Visit the exhibition Mental Health: Mind Matters to understand how mental illness affects those living with it.
Each day's unique activity will last 1 hour. Activities are designed for specific age ranges noted in each class description. Tickets are $12/child or $6/member child. Caregivers are invited to create alongside their children. Exhibition admission is included for each registered child. Caregivers must purchase exhibition admission if they plan to visit exhibitions.
Online ticket sales will close 1 hour before the event. Onsite ticket sales will be available at the Museum up to the time of the class if there is still capacity.

Artist educator Heidi Lowell is a multi-disciplinary artist whose background in science and nature informs her work.
Family programs provide educational and engaging activities for young Texans and their caregivers. Events are designed to bring families together, spark conversations and provide opportunities for growth and development.
