About Public Programs

Public programs at the Bullock Museum explore relevant history and celebrate the culture that has shaped our modern world. Through engaging discussions, live performances, and experiential activities visitors are invited to see local connections and discover how Texas fits into a broader national story.

About the Artists

The Peterson Brothers combine infectious energy and modern grooves with jazz, funk, blues, and soul to create their unique sound. For more than a decade, the Texas natives have been building a fan base across America, playing both classic funk and soul, and their original music that includes jam-band style improvisation by Glenn Jr. on vocals and guitar and Alex on bass, vocals, and violin.

Richard Samuels is the founder of RichesArt Gallery and is a self-taught Watercolor artist from Texas, former pro football player, and world traveler. RichesArt is a unique expression of nostalgia and self-identity. As the owner of a Black-owned art gallery in Austin, Texas, Samuel is committed to diversifying Austin’s art scene and bringing work from underrepresented communities to the forefront.

Badgerdog is part of the nonprofit, The Library Foundation. They hold workshops for writers of all ages and skill levels and invite the public to examine the techniques of literary artists and experiment with language to communicate experience and meaning.
