Event Details

Join the Austin Refugee Roundtable and the Bullock Museum for a free celebration of World Refugee Day.

Commemorate the United Nations' World Refugee Day at the Bullock Museum with a naturalization ceremony, free samples of world cuisine, live music, and activities for families with kids of all ages. Master of Ceremonies Greg Ciotti is representing KOOP Radio's Community Council, whose charter is to highlight individuals and organizations that are giving back in our community. If you'd like to learn more about refugee stories, look no further than this list, specially curated by Austin Public Library.

Schedule of Events:

  • 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Refugee Journey: A Learning Game
  • 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Naturalization Ceremony, open to public with limited seating
  • 1:00 p.m. 2:30 p.m.
    • Sample global cuisine (while supplies last)
    • Live music from Indimaj
    • Family-friendly Activity with Austin Public Library
