Join Ramblin' Rita for a Texas-themed storytime experience for young children.

Event Details

Enjoy a morning of Ramblin' Rita's wild stories, silly songs, and Texas-sized fun! The Summer Storytime series occurs alternating Tuesdays throughout the summer with storytelling events for ages 2–5. Activities are included with museum admission. This program is presented with ASL interpretation.

About Family Programs

Family programs provide educational and engaging activities for young Texans and their caregivers. Events are designed to bring families together, spark conversations and provide opportunities for growth and development.

About the Artist

Kayla Wardell, a.k.a. Ramblin' Rita, earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Texas at El Paso and has appeared in numerous local and regional productions. She has taught acting for after school drama programs and spent a year and a half touring with the prestigious Missoula Children’s Theatre, teaching and performing with young actors across the country and around the world. Kayla has crafted and led story time programs for Barnes & Noble Bookstores and the Frisco Public Library as a youth services library assistant.
